Helping Men Walk As Jesus Walked

Monthly Men's Luncheon Small Groups Mission/ Outreach Recreation Outdoor Events FAQ

The Men’s Ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church creates opportunities for men to grow in their relationships to God and each other. Through large events, fellowship, Bible study, seminars, small-group outreach and ministry opportunities, we seek to build Godly men.

We believe God builds men who glorify Him when

He connects with them through prayer
He changes them through the power of His Word
He draws them to love and praise Him through worship
He causes them to be good stewards of their time, talent and treasure

We believe God builds men who strengthen other people when

He equips them to be devoted and loving husbands and fathers, building strong families
He shows His truth in the workplace through the integrity they display
He makes Himself known to the world through their Gospel evangelism wherever they go
He causes them to persevere with patience by the support and encouragement they give one another

Monthly Men's Luncheon
Do you really love Catfish and all the trimmins?

It’s about food, fun, fellowship & a great message.
Once a month, men gather in IBC’s Horne Hall at 11:50 a.m. for a lunch that would put most “deer camp” meals to shame! Besides a great meal, there’s a time to fellowship, learn about upcoming events and hear a challenging message before the group dismisses at 12:50 p.m.

Missions/Outreach
There are many opportunities to do the Lord’s work.

Immanuel Baptist Church has been defined by its love of missions for more than a century. A variety of missions education and project opportunities offer our entire family the chance to share the Gospel locally and globally.

The IBC Men’s Ministry supports all of these endeavors, encouraging its members to participate in Community Fest, Stephen Ministry and the IBC Prison Ministry, as well as outreach programs through Bethany Christian Services, the Union Rescue Mission and Dorcas House.

The Ministry has also adopted several service areas of its own:
    • Jail Ministry

Meals on Wheels

Food Pantry

Disaster Relief

Construction and Handyman Teams

Ronald McDonald House

Hospitality Team

Recreation

The Men’s Ministry sponsors a couple of special events each year, such as Men’s Night at Dickey-Stephens Park, and the annual Dove Hunt. Dates and times are posted as soon as they’re available.

In addition, the IBC Recreation Center has something for everyone -- including volleyball, softball, walleyball, basketball, soccer, racquetball, tennis and golf tournaments. Besides just enjoying organized sports and activities, members of the Men’s Ministry are also encouraged to support and assist the Rec Center staff as volunteers.
