Recreation Ministry Classes
Open to IBC members and prospective members, “Faith and Fitness” is a one-time informational class that provides an overview of the recreation center ministry and facilities.
Attendees will take a tour of the Faith and Fitness Room and receive a card which grants access into the Faith and Fitness Room located on the Mezzanine level.

Arts and Crafts
Immanuel Prayer Shawl Ministry

As a special outreach to our members struggling with serious illness, this group knits prayer shawls to give as a tangible reminder of the warmth, love and concern our church family has for the recipient. This group is open to all knitters, regardless their level of skill and we can even teach you how to knit. Members can knit at home and at fellowship meetings on Tuesdays from 1:15-3:15 p.m., and are asked to bring their own needles (size 13 or 15). For more information, call Barbara Wood at 225-2108.
Scrapbook Club
The following are the next meeting nights: March 19th

The Scrapbook Club meets the second Friday night of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight in Horne Hall (South Entrance). Everyone is responsible for their own food and supplies. Bring your craft project and get started.

Pickup Basketball
Looking for a great opportunity to invite men from your office to enjoy fellowship and exercise? Head over to the recreation center at noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for a game of pickup basketball on the main court.
Men’s 4 on 4 Leauge
Sign up now for Men’s 4 on 4 League. Games will begin January 14th and will be played on Thursday nights. This league is for IBC Members and Prospective Members. You can sign up by calling the Rec Center or in your Adult Bible Fellowship class.
InterAction
An outreach to the youth of our community.
This is a great time to meet new friends and fellowship. 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Location: Tops Café & IBC Gym. A meal is provided.

Faith & Fitness Activities
IBC Stretch Class

Resumes on January 5th.
This stretch class is with low impact stretching and exercise. Please sign up now and join the stretch class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. on the Gym floor. This low-impact class is good for the body, mind, and spirit. Taught by Carolyn Lawrence.
IBC’s Fitness Challenge
Join Immanuel's version of Biggest Loser. It is our goal to provide you with not only tools to help you lose weight, but activities as well. We will provide for you - four nights a week of programs to work out, the means to monitor your calories, and a nutritionist who will answer your questions. There will be activities available for participants that are not required but recommended. You can commit to as many or as few of the activities as you want.

Basic Information
Teams composed of 8 people will compete against one another to see who can lose the largest percentage of weight. Each team will have a captain who will be responsible for keeping the team motivated, encouraged, and accountable.
On Saturday mornings there will be a game and the official Weight-In.*
During the Fitness Challenge weeks, you will have the opportunity to work with Personal Trainers, participate in Circuit Training and Boot Camp.
At the end of the Fitness Challenge, the Team as well as the Individual, with the largest percentage of weight lost will receive a prize for their accomplishment.
*No one's weight will be published or displayed, and no one will be voted off the program.
LOSE WEIGHT AND HELP IMMANUEL'S FOOD PANTRY
We have someone who will pay $1.00 for EVERY pound lost during this exciting new program.
This generous donation will be given to the Food Pantry!
We will begin on Monday, April 5th and continue for 5 weeks.
Informational meeting Sunday, March 14th* at 4:30 in the Chapel.
*If you plan to participate, you need to be at the meeting.

Need Help With A Weight Program? Let Us Help! We can set you up with a personalized program and get you started on the right path. Brian Spigner is now a certified Personal Trainer, and is available to set up fitness programs for members of the Faith & Fitness program.
Follow the Leader
A fitness program that will motivate the participant by providing goals and meeting their needs both spiritually and physically through following the footsteps of the Apostle Paul during his first missionary journey

Begin Again in 2010 with Barbara Bowman
Bored with traditional work outs? Then come to boot camp. it's only as hard as you make it. In this co-ed program, participants will perform a variet of body weight calistenics and calorie/fat burning cardiovascular workouts that will help tone and strengthen muscles.

Gym For Him
Join this fun gymnastics program for children.
We flip out over gymnastics at Immanuel! Coach Lorie Kimes has put together an outstanding program for boys and girls ages 3-12 that blends skills training with an awareness of how to glorify God through discipline and exercise.

Classes Begin August 17th and go through November 6th. Cost is $200.00 per participant and $250.00 for Advanced 1 1/2 hour class. Below is the Spring Schedule. Classes begin February 22nd – May 20th. Cost is $250.00 per participant and $300 for Advanced 1 ∏ hour class.

12:30 - 1:30 pm - 4 to 6 year old girls.
4:00 -5:30 pm - Advanced 6 to 12 year old girls. Round Off Back handspring is REQUIRED for this class
5:30 - 6:30 pm - 5 to 10 year old girls.

Tuesday
3:30 - 4:30 pm - Advanced 6 to 8 year old girls.
4:30 - 5:30 pm - Intermediate 8 to 10 year old girls.
5:30 - 6:30 pm - 11 to 13 year old Cheer Tumble.
Wednesday
10:00 - 10:45 am - 1 to 3 year old parent/child class.
12:30 - 1:30 pm - 3 to 5 year old girls.
4:00 - 5:00 pm - 6 to 10 year old girls.
Thursday
9:00 - 10:00 am - 3 to 5 year old boys and girls.
3:30 - 4:30 pm - Advanced 6 to 12 year old gilrs. Round Off Back handspring is REQUIRED for this class.

5:30 - 6:30 pm - 6 to 10 year old girls.

BOYS AND GIRLS - 4 Year olds “Rookie Ball” will be with a “T”
BOYS AND GIRLS - 5 Year olds “T-Ball” will be with a “T”
6 & 7 YEARS - $105.00
BOYS ONLY - 6 Year olds will have two pitches from a pitching machine then from the “T” if needed.
BOYS ONLY - 7 Year olds will be Pitching Machine.
AFTER THE 12TH COST WILL GO UP $25.00.

Immanuel Recreation has a new way for you to connect - cycling. This year, we will be having 3 different teams for you to participate in - Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. Let us know which group you would like to be in.

Praying for the Cure
Immanuel Baptist Church will be forming a 2010 Susan G. Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure Team. We usually have over 45 participate in our team effort for the past 4 years.
Once again we will be handing out our Pink "Praying for the Cure" bracelets. Our shirts will be designed by Immanuel member, Laura Bennett.
